Sip, taste, and share…
Rosé, the iconic wine of Provence and the French Riviera, has made its way into London’s finest restaurants and New York’s hottest bars. It seems that everyone is falling for the crisp wines of the Mediterranean coast of France, which conjure up deep turquoise water and a refreshing sea breeze with every sip.
But how is rosé produced, and what makes certain bottles stand out? Under the expert guidance of certified sommelier and cookbook author Viktorija Todorovska, you will discover several different rosé wines from Provence and the French Riviera and learn to identify your preferred style. She will introduce you to the art of tasting any wine and tell you the story of rosé and the region, illustrating her points by uncorking bottles from her favorite producers. Viktorija will also provide you with a list of rosés available abroad so that you can continue to build your knowledge at home.
Because rosé is an integral part of la merenda, Nice’s street food tradition, nibbles will be served during this tasting. You will also learn how to pair rosé with foods from the Mediterranean and other parts of the world.
Wine is a casual affair in the south of France, and this tasting will also provide an opportunity to meet fellow travelers and enjoy an apéritif in Les Petits Farcis’ beautiful Old Town studio before you head to dinner.
